Mad Cave Studios Imprint PaperCutz has released a new graphic novel to be released next year. The beat has all the details. Tommy the Coward was written by Marco Sonseli, painted by Andrea Piccardo by Roberto Lacielo, translated from Italian to England, and was first translated by Elena Patarini Swawiska. This book will make its English debut in 2026.

Tommy the Coward follows the honorable Thomas Anderson, who lives with his parents and two brothers, Andrew and Dorothy. Tommy is pretty average. Except that absolutely everything scares him. When his parents go on a trip, his brother takes him into the forest and helps him overcome some of his fears. Unfortunately, the attempts backfire when Andrew and Dorothy were trapped in a dark area known as the greedy forest and left Tommy behind. Now he needs to not only overcome his fears, but also save his brother!

“This story is very close to me. The adventures of my son Tommy the Coward came to my mind when his son was young. Luka was six years old and had a bit of fear. This is normal for a child.

“Telling stories for the children is a great joy for me. So if these stories also have educational and formative value and can help our younger readers grow, I would be even happier,” added artist Lauciello. “Drawing Tommy was a training and growth adventure for me too. I hope that my painting, decorated in Andrea’s colour, gave justice to the story written by Marco.

Piccardo said, “When you have children, when they are little, they believe they will conquer the world. If you have children, you know that you have to lower your expectations. If you have children, you know that all of their imaginations have to face it on their own.

Tommy the co-sick person is available anywhere the book is for sale on January 13th, 2026. The book is currently available for pre-order in both paperback ($9.99) and hardcover ($14.99).
