Marvel announces new 2025 Stormreakers class•AIPT

Marvel Comics today unveiled a new class of Stormbreakers, made up of artists with iconic style and immeasurable creativity. Those artists include Alessandro Cappuccio (Moon Night, Ultimate Wolverine), Nessodias (Daredevil: Black Amor, X-Men), Simone Dieo (Champion, X-Men of Apocalypse), Juan Frigeli (Ultime shark) Incursion, Dark X-Men), Geoff Shaw (Red Hulk, Wolverine), and Luciano Vecchio (Spider-Verse vs. Venomverse, Revival of Magneto).

The final Stormbreaker classes include Elena Casagrande, Nick Klein, Jan Basaldua, Chris Allen, Martin Coccolo, Lucas Wellneck, Federico Visennini and CF Villa.

“Since founded more than 20 years ago, Marvel’s Stormbreakers program (originally “young guns”) has introduced comic fans to the best and brightest artists around the world,” Severski said. “From six countries and six countries, this year’s class is another group of modern marvels that push the boundaries between style and storytelling. These are creators who will bring our characters back to life and blow the hearts of our fans for years to come!”

New York, NY – June 6, 2025 – Marvel Comics is proud to announce the 2025 class of Marvel’s Stormbreakers, the best talent distinction program that has lit the next generation of elite artists in the industry.

The new class of creators chosen for iconic art style, prominent achievements, and endless creativity include Alessandro Cappuccio (Moon Knight, Ultimate Wolverine), Nessodias (Daredevil: Black Amor, X-Men), Simone Dieo (Apocalypse, Champion of Apocalypse), Giamprigeri (Apocalypse), Giamprigeri (Apocalypse), Giamprigeri (Jeff, Jeff the Land Shark), Jonas Scharf (Ultimate Spider-Man: Incursion, Dark X-Men), Jeff Shaw (Red Hulk, Wolverine), and Luciano Vecchio (Spider-Bath vs. Venoverse, The Resurrection of Magneto). Di Meo’s Marvel Comics Editor-in-Chief CB Cebulski will be officially presenting their classes this weekend at Marvel Art Atelier, the Marvel art at Disneyland Paris, the annual training program for Marvel artists hosted at Disney Hotel New York.

Selected every two years, these artists follow in the footsteps of the class of 2023. Elena Casa Grande (Running), Nick Klein (The Incredible Hulk), Yanba Zardua (Immortal Thor), Chris Allen (Black Panther), Martin Kokoro (Wolverine (Wolverine), Lucas Wellneck (Storm), CFAS (Smorthis), Morales: Spider-Man) celebrates graduates who continue to ignite the industry!

Marvel Stormbreakers Class 2025

Alessandro Cappuccio (Moon Knight, Ultimate Wolverine): Italian illustrator Alessandro Cappuccio made an impressive debut at Moon Night in 2021, redefining the character along with author Jed Mackay, quickly establishing him as an artist to watch him. After continuing his acclaimed work in Lunar Legionnaire in the Moon Knight and Moon Knight follow-up series Vengeance: fist of Khonshu, Cappuccio launched the Ultimate Wolverine with author Chris Condon, now one of Marvel’s current bestselling titles.

Netho Diaz (Daredevill: Daredevil: Black Amor, X-Men): Netho Diaz has been working consistently with Marvel on issues with X’s Thundundobolts and Legion since early 2022. Shortly afterwards, he became a series artist for Predator, Daredevil: Black Armor and X-Men. The current era of the franchise and Jed Mackay and Ryan Stegman.

Simone Di Meo (Champions, X-Men of the Apocalypse): Simone Di Meo is a respected talent known throughout the industry, including Batman and Robin, who won the 2022 Best Cover Artist Ringo Award, Batman and Robin at Ringo Award. Legendary writer Jeff Loeb offers the next chapter in a groundbreaking era of the Apocalypse storyline.

Juan Frigeri (Ultimates, Invincible Iron Man): Juan Frigeri’s Marvel credit growth list includes collaborations with superstar writers such as Ed Brisson of Ghost Rider, Kelly Thompson of Captain Marvel, and Jason Aaron of Avengers. Following the invincible Iron Man run with author Jerry Duggan, Frigeri is one of the foresighters behind the new ultimate universe, working with Dennis Camp to join forces with the industry’s most talked about titles, Ultimates,

Gurihiru (Jeff, Jeff the Land Shark): Grihiru is a superstar Japanese illustrator duo. Following on, they launched the Jeff Infinity Comics with Kelly Thompson, winning the Eisner Award.

Jonas Scharf (Ultimate Spider-Man: Incursion, Dark X-Men): Jonas Scharf has more than 24 issues owned by creators under his belt, contributing to the darker, gritier corners of the Marvel universe over the years with titles like Avengers of the Wastelands and Dark X-Men. Showing off his incredible versatility, he broke in earlier this week for the Ultimate Spider-Man: Critical Appreciation with authors Dennis Camp and Cody Ziggler.

Geoff Shaw (Wolverine, Red Hulk): MultiTalented Geoff Shaw is a comic artist, sculptor, concept designer and illustrator. His notable Marvel productions include Thanos and Guardians of the Galaxy, featuring authors Donny Cates, Wolverine and Ben Percy’s Goldians of the Galaxy, and breakout character Helberine, including Ghost Rider/Wolverine: Weapons of Vengeance Crossover. He recently reunited with Percy and had an explosive new run for the Red Hulk.

Luciano Vecchio (Spider-Verse vs. Venomverse, the revival of Magneto): Luciano Vecchio has become a fan favorite artist thanks to the dynamic style that bridges the modern and classics of books like Ironheart and Champions. After leading X-Men’s Krakoan Era to epic proximity in Magneto’s revival and the rise of X’s power, Vecchio will continue to be a master of Uncanny X-Men’s mutant storytelling, along with Gail Simone and the upcoming X-Men: Hellfire Vigil One-Shot. He also has an interest in the LGBTQIA+ representative of the comics and is working on Marvel’s voice.

First launched in 2020, Marvel’s Stormbreakers evolved from the Marvel’s Young Guns program. Over the past 15 years, Marvel has selected and recognized 36 promising artists who have drawn on Marvel’s biggest events, iconic series, and have cemented their status as industry celebrity, including Steve McNiven, Jim Chen, Sarah Picheli and Ryan Stegman.
