Ignition Press continued to announce with Deluge, a horror thriller set in a women’s prison, and San Diego Comic-Con. Author Karemban, artist Marika Cresta (Captain Carter), colorist Ronda Pattison, Letters and World Design. Marking Ignition’s fourth debut title later this year, the series will feature previews of the series, behind the scenes material, and cover art by Cresta and Becky Cloonan on Issue #0, Deluge: The Cold Open, SDCC.

Heavy rain is falling on the Seaverville Correctional Prison for Women. When the river rises and banks overflow, the same walls that keep prisoners within a fortress-like structure can’t protect the water. Something else comes with that water. Something fatal. Because what was once outside is inside now, and the prisoners and guards will do so if the water doesn’t get them, the monsters will.

Bunn talked about the inspiration for the series in the press release, saying, “For decades, I’ve been driving by this old, crumbling, overgrown ruin of a building along a highway in Missouri. It’s a place of mystery that I started researching. The ruins are all thatremain of a corrective facility that flooded in the 90s. Over the years, a story started to form — a story of guilt and innocence, regret and anger, sin and redemption, and an awful lot of horrifying events.

Cresta said, “It’s an honor for me to work on projects like this. Breaking life into these characters facing sin and death is both annoying and inspiring. Each character has their own story, their own sin, and the way I love them.

Flood Copy: Cold Open, Fans visiting the Ignition Press Room (643 G Street) in San Diego’s historic gas lamp district (located at 643 G Street) during Comic-Con, can purchase items such as shirts (featuring Riley Rossmo’s art), face masks, stickers, and enamel pins. As previously announced, Bunn exists with a free (now unplanned) signature. In the meantime, follow all the coverage of the Ignition Press and check out the launch titles announced so far.
