From Software’s 2015 game Bloodborne may not have been the best-selling title of the 2010s, or even the year of its release, but it has stood the test of time as one of the best horror games of all time in the decade since its release, boldly injecting eerie cosmic horror and gothic aesthetics to create a visceral and haunting nightmare that still resonates with fans today. Directed by Dark Souls and Elden Ring legend Hidetaka Miyazaki, Bloodborne follows a gun-toting, nameless beast-killing hunter as he adventures through the darkness of the Gothic dilapidated Yharnam in search of answers and…
At New York Comic Con on Saturday, fans packed into Javits Center Room 406.1 to hear news about Skybound’s shared Energon universe between Transformers, GI Joe, and now MASK. The panel was moderated by Energon Universe editor Ben Abernathy and featured Void Rivals artist Connor Hughes. Transformers artists Jorge Corona and Dan Mora. GI Joe artist Tom Riley. Joshua Williamson, writer of GI Joe. Robert Kirkman, the screenwriter for Transformers. Last year’s Energon Universe panel was a highlight of NYCC, and this year’s stacked lineup guaranteed a great follow-up. Abernathy asked Kirkman what he thought about the reception of Transformers…
Lilith, Vol. 1 Writer/Artist: Colin HowellColorist: Warnia SachdevaAuthor: Jim CampbellPublisher: Vault ComicsPublication date: October 2025 When I was younger, I always envied the movies my older cousins watched in college, the clothes they wore, and the music they played. And I was reminded of this recently while reading Volume 2 of Lilith. 1. A fun new book that feels indebted to the culture of about 20 years ago. Lilith is Colin Howell’s debut solo series, published by Vault Comics and starring the title character Lilith, a femme fatale demon. She is trapped in the human world for reasons unknown. For…

But it turns out there’s a reason why the treasure was left there for so long… Having already appeared in two prose novels, The Fallbacks already look like an established and very well developed team. Comic book artist Greg Pak didn’t create comics or write novels (though Jaylee Johnson deserves credit for that), but he seems to…

The first significant casualty of the Diamond bankruptcy has been revealed. Humanoid, the Los Angeles-based company of the famous French publisher, has just filed for Chapter 7 bankruptcy, or irrevocable bankruptcy. Chapter 7 means that the company’s assets are liquidated and used to pay creditors. However, it doesn’t seem like there are that many assets. The company has less than $50,000 in assets and between $10 million and $50 million in debt, according to court filings. The bankruptcy was filed in Maryland Bankruptcy Court (where did you hear that?) and lists HC Wind Down Corporation as the parent company, with…
Tetsuko Kuroyanagi, whose best-selling autobiography Totto-chan: The Girl in the Window, was first published in 1981, has published the long-awaited sequel to her debut memoir. The original edition, which explores postwar Japanese culture, chronicled the author’s childhood in Tokyo and her eclectic school life in the lead-up to World War II. The book quickly rose to the top of the publishing charts in Japan, breaking publishing records and becoming the best-selling book in Japanese history by the end of 1982. To date, we have sold over 8 million units in Japan and maintain our superiority. It became an international sensation,…
