After renewing the blockbuster earlier this year, Heavy Metal Magazine has returned with issue 2. Fans heading to San Diego Comic-Con (July 23-27) get the first crack. The issue debuted early in Booth #4804 (shared by Heavy Metal and Genseven Creations) and features two exclusive SDCC variant covers. One is longtime contributor Lorenzo Sperlonga (limited to 500 copies), and the other is Escorza Bros (only 200 copies available). The magazine will then grow on July 30th at comic shops and newsstands.
Editor-in-chief Frank Forte shared his excitement. “The support for the renewal was incredible. I can’t wait to see the second issue early on and continue to push the boundaries between sci-fi and fantasy storytelling.”
Fans can meet the heavy metal team during SDCC, and Forte signs Sperlonga with Booth #1429 and Booth #4812.
