The Marvel Comics, teased early today, revealed that “he’s back,” but who is he? Given the appearance and feel of the poison to the teaser (see below), what is clear is:

Knull, creator of all symbiotes, will return this October with the 250th issue of Venom’s huge size, with stories from Al Ewing, Charles Soule, Carlos Gomez, Terry Dodson and more.

The hugely sized celebration issue also features the story of Eddie Brock: the slaughtered writer Charles Soul and the all-new Venom artist Carlos Gomez were set in Eddie Brock’s time as Venom. Plus, following the problem, the whole new poison remains a venom, continuing its legacy number in Venom #251!

In Knull’s appeal, Ewing said, “When Donnie and Ryan made Knull exist, they created the first new villain for a while in what I call ‘Big Villain Juice’. He has been visually arrested and knows what he wants to do in one sentence. He’s strong enough to hold back the crossover.

In addition to the news, art appears to be slightly above all new venom for knull, in addition to art. Please check below.

NEW YORK, NY – June 16, 2025 – To celebrate the 616 days, Marvel Comics is excited to announce that Venom Hit’s landmark 250th issue has risen in October and will feature the return of Venom’s biggest enemy, Knull!

Written by the entirely new venom scribes of the present and depicted by superstar artist Terry Dodson, Venom #250 begins a major symbiotic story in which Knull, the god of symbiotics, seeks revenge in Venom, now tied to Mary Jane Watson! Knull, who debuted in 2018 with Donny Cates and Ryan Stegman’s inventive run by Venom, quickly took a spot among Marvel’s most feared and legendary supervillains, even making his big screen debut in Venom: The Last Dance last year. Now he’s back in vengeance and Mary Jane doesn’t know what’s in the store!

Knull’s return!

Mary Jane Watson finally falls into the swing of things as the host of a new Venom, using her powers in a whole new way to become a hero the symbiotic never knew! But when she cleans up the streets of New York, she doesn’t leave her blissful chains of darkness leading to blank darkness. Knull, creator of all symbiosis, was killed by Eddie Brock. Nothing could bring him back… but Knull did nothing. Knull is back and the words are competing across the stars against the person who dropped him off before to prepare to do it again. Is the poison ready?

In Knull’s appeal, Ewing said, “When Donnie and Ryan made Knull exist, they created the first new villain for a while in what I call ‘Big Villain Juice’. He has been visually arrested and knows what he wants to do in one sentence. He’s strong enough to hold back the crossover.
