The first arc, a continuation of Percy and Julius Ohta’s current miniseries Punisher: Red Band, finds Frank once again facing off against his archenemy Billy Russo, aka Jigsaw. Albert Khuzairov Star Wars was a game-changer for the toy industry, comparable to the first appearance of Superman. Before Action Comics No. 1, comic books consisted mostly of reprinted newspaper strips and funny animals. The success of Superman changed the entire media. With dozens of new superheroes introduced every week, sales skyrocketed. The industry was reinvigorated as new artists and writers competed to create the next sensation, helping usher in a golden age of comics. Similarly, there were successful toy product lines before Star Wars. Disney merchandising was at its best since the 1940s. Mattel’s Barbie doll and Hasbro’s GI…
Grant Morrison is reuniting with co-creator Steve Yowell for a new adventure in the 1993 Vertigo comic “Sebastian O”, the writer announced in his newsletter on Tuesday. Morrison made this announcement in a larger context, saying that working on the Batman/Deadpool crossover has reinvigorated his passion for writing comics. “I thought I’d give the late-career comeback I hear so much about a try!” Morrison wrote. It seems likely that the Sebastian O sequel will be part of DC Comics’ own revitalized Vertigo slate, which announced 10 new comics at New York Comic Con this month. This work joins 100 Bullets…

The following contains spoilers for all previous Life is Strange games. The original Life is Strange was released episodically ten years ago and concluded with Chapter 5 on October 20, 2015. This is one of my all-time favorite video games, a heart-wrenching, nostalgic, heartbreaking paranormal adventure. The film tells the story of Max Caulfield, voiced by Hannah Tell. Max Caulfield, voiced by Ashleigh Birch, is an 18-year-old photography student who discovers he can rewind time after witnessing (and thwarting) the murder of his childhood friend (and potential love interest). After Max reunites with her, the two begin investigating the disappearance…
This summer’s Superman movie featured an instantly iconic scene in which the Man of Steel (David Corenswet) suggests to Lois Lane (Rachel Brosnahan) that “true punk rock” is about trusting people and being kind to everyone. This sentiment quickly won over viewers, and DC is getting in on the action with a new set of covers for the punk rock-themed Superman title. Scheduled to arrive in January 2026, the cover features artwork by Annie Wu, Dave Johnson, Mike Allred, Marguerite Sauvage, Dan Hipp, and Fabrizio De Tommaso. Below is a list and details of the issues published by DC that…

Brass Sun was one of the hit new series that emerged from the pages of British weekly magazine 2000 AD in the 2010s. Debuting with 2012’s Prog 1800, they won a legion of fans for their clockwork punk visuals, expertly executed by co-creator and artist INJ Calvard, and for the twisted plot by writer and co-creator Ian Edgington. It was even one of the rare series to receive the mass-market hardcover collection treatment. Then in 2018, after the fifth arc of Progressive 2072 ended, things went quiet. The creative team moved on to other projects. INJ Calvard co-created another hit,…
