Bit Bot Media is preparing to launch a kickstarter for Bride of Rocky Horror, the first-ever officially licensed original Rocky Horror show graphic novel, which includes a whole new cast of characters. I felt like I’ve become smarter after seeing the list of top comics to buy this week on October 8th. Four of my top five recommendations incorporate real history that is almost new to me, from the inexplained phenomenon in Russia to the superstar black cyclist. And of course, my fifth recommendation features Batman. This is a comic, so what are you going to do? Mad Cave Studios has announced that actor John Cusack will make his comic debut with Momo, a surreal graphic novel inspired by the life of legendary comedian Jackie Gleeson. Featuring art by Ignacio Noé (Jeanne Arc and Heldorado), the book follows two criminals on a road trip to retrieve ancient artefacts for Gleason, who is allegedly interested in UFOs and paranormal events. It is scheduled to be released on June 16th, 2026. In time for NYCC, ONI has debuted a new logo and icon for the book. The new look first appears in November’s Crownsville #1, the supernatural tale of writer Rodney Burns and artist Elia Bonetti. The new logo was designed by the extremely talented Patrick Clotty. Therefore, it should come as a surprise that the publisher has released a new Sandals The Barbarian Comics series from author Jason Aaron and artist Cuber Baal. Mad Cave’s comic star is on the rise, and publishers are about to do a pretty splash at New York Comic Con this year. New Comic Studio brings several exclusive covers to this year’s event, including the highly popular Speed Racer and the premium release of Phantom Comics. Author Jean Luen Yang’s creative team and artist Freddie E. Williams II, released last July, will take over the ongoing title of IDW’s ongoing teenage mutant ninja turtles in issue 13 in December. The renewed title was a huge success for the publisher, and it is no exaggeration that the initial issue sold over 300,000 copies.
