The spooky season is upon us, and Marvel is planning to celebrate it with their next entry, CRYPT OF SHADOWS #1, a one-shot told in the spirit of Halloween. With a story written by Steve Orlando, Benjamin Percy, Jason Lew, and Chris Condon, and artwork created by Claire Law, Raffaele Ienco, Carlos Magno, and Djibril Morissette, the comic will be a nifty read for anyone interested in getting into the Marvel and Halloween spirit.

This year’s CRYPT OF SHADOWS #1 features an Agatha Harkness story from current beloved Scarlet Witch author Steve Orlando, with illustrations by Claire Law.

There’s also an ocean tale in which the swamp monster Man-Thing battles Namor, and a tale by Jason Lew and Carlos Magno in which Kraven the Hunter tracks down a Jack Russell named Werewolf By Night.

Most importantly, this issue marks the debut of Joshua Jovan from the TV series “Werewolf by Night.” If you don’t remember, Jovan was an axe-wielding monster hunter who in this story accidentally falls through the final door and encounters a new “monster”: the Scarlet Witch.

His story is told by writer Chris Condon and artist Djibril Morissette.

For more details, read the official press release and check out the cover below.

Marvel Comics will reopen the Crypt this October with a new installment of CRYPT OF SHADOWS. The hit one-shot, which spotlights the mysterious, monstrous, and downright terrifying characters of the Marvel Universe, is back for another year of fright, this time hosted by Agatha Harkness, who will deliver stories and adventures to frighten readers all through the Halloween season. Today, fans can check out all three covers and learn more about the stories and creators featured.

As All Hallows’ Day approaches, heroes from the Marvel Universe once again face the terrors that lurk in the darkness. From creatures of the deep to sinister magic, don’t miss the chance to watch your favorite heroes find themselves in dire straits and forced to confront the evil forces of the Marvel Universe. True believers, pick up this terrifying book at your own risk.
