Brandon Sanderson’s Cosmere RPG from Brotherwise Games has topped $11 million in its crowdfunding campaign on Kickstarter.
This RPG crowdfunding project follows Brotherwise’s July 2024 retail launch announcement for Mistborn: The Deckbuilding Game (see “Retail Launch of Mistborn: The Deckbuilding Game”). Cosmere RPG dives into the world of Brandon Sanderson’s best-selling novels, providing players with a living RPG system to use as they take on the roles of heroes across different worlds. The RPG is set to operate under these universal rules, with each world book following this release having its own unique character options and magic system.
The actual Cosmere RPG book will be released in Fall 2025, along with the Stormlight World Guide, Stormlight Handbook, and Stormlight Stonewalkers Adventure. Brotherwise plans to release a Mistborn book in 2026, with more world books and adventures planned after that. As of the publication of this article, the Kickstarter has reached $11,189,930 from 38,990 backers (roughly $287 per backer), and is offering a $400 Retailer Pledge reward tier that includes the main book, GM screen, standard dice set, plot deck, four item decks, and two event kits.
