The history of role-playing games told in graphic novel form by Fred Van Lente and Tom Fowler.
Dungeons and Dragons has been a mainstay of tabletop role-playing for over seven years. In that time, many more TTRPGs have emerged that are equal, close, or even unremarkable in terms of popularity in the TTRPG community. To that end, writer Fred Van Lente and illustrator Tom Fowler team up to take a journey through the history of role-playing games in comic book form, making 70 years of history accessible to anyone interested in owning a piece of history. This project is a must-have for fans of the genre as well as comics.

Monsters attack the Sooner State. The National Monster Service fights back with giant mechs.
Issue #2 featured one of our most popular comics, Oklahoma Kaiju, the story of a giant opossum that went on a rampage through Oklahoma City in 1967. Just reading about the premise intrigued me, but seeing Tulsa’s Golden Driller being used as a monster-fighting mech quickly made me a fan. The concept of Oklahoma Kaiju is fun and intriguing, and with the amount of work that’s gone into this project, I’m sure our regular readers will be eager to learn more and perhaps add it to their collections when it hits comic shops.

Waryanto’s art is phenomenal. It was the first thing that caught my eye as I began to read the reviews page. The style immediately caught my eye and as I read deeper the influences of Dungeons & Dragons and Avatar: The Last Airbender became more apparent. The comic is fantastic and the story is just as compelling. At just $10 digitally it’s a bargain for fans of adventure stories. The characters will stay with you for days after you’ve finished the story. Check out this project!

A superhero sent back to overcome not only the death of a friend, but also the ghosts of his past. A lot of work has gone into the creation of OneNation: Stronghold, and even a quick look at the project page shows that the comic is chock full of description, extras, and information.
