Earlier this year, Skybound reunited Invncible co-creator/writer Robert Kirkman and contributing creator/artist Ryan Ottley to launch the new Battle Beast series. This is the first comic series set in the Invincible universe since the original book ended. Given the immense popularity of the Invincible animated series, it was no surprise that the comic spotlighted fan-favorite characters. After issue 6 was released last October, the series has been on hiatus to give the creators time to work on the second chapter. As the saying goes, good things come to those who wait, because Skybound has announced that Invincible Universe: Battle Beast #7 will be arriving in comic book stores on March 18, 2026.
Not coincidentally, Battle Beast’s return coincides with the release of Invincible Season 4. To commemorate this, Skybound has designated March 2026 as Invincible Month. Similarly, the publisher also teased the release of Skybound and Quarter Up’s brutal tournament-quality 3v3 tag team fighting game Invincible VS in late 2026.
Perfect for longtime fans and new readers alike, Invincible Universe: Battle Beast #7 is the beginning of a new bloody epic. The Battle Beast now faces the two most dangerous enemies of his life. Viltrumite, known as Conquest, was voiced by Jeffrey Dean Morgan in the animated season 3 finale and was an instant breakout star.
