boom! The studio has officially announced its new superhero limited series, The Center Holds, and The Beat has all the details.
“The Center Holds” features the last work of the late artist MD “Doc” Bright, written by Larry Hama, with colors by Josh Burnham and lettering by Janice Chan. The story follows a union of superheroes attempting to combine superhero mania with not-so-exciting bureaucratic victories. Five percent of the proceeds will be donated to the Hero Initiative in Bright and his honor.
Editor Tim Finn teased details about the series at New York Comic Con in October, highlighting the fact that Hama wrote the entire script based on an unfinished concept by Bright.
The synopsis of the entire series is as follows:
A new world of superheroes is born!
In a world where superheroes are commonplace, heroes are required to join a union or face significant financial liability for damage caused during combat.
Join the Union of Superheroes: Cyber genius, psychic Lakshmi, mysterious Keeper, prodigy Neccotron and more team up to battle villains and bureaucracies alike.
The delicate balance of mitigating damage while saving lives is already difficult enough, but the constant stream of villains rising to challenge them poses its own set of troubles.
