13 creators from around the world tell stories after environmental collapse
Hostile Planet is a comic anthology that was two years in the making, bringing together multiple artists and writers to create something unique in the sci-fi space. I was glued to the screen by the art. What particularly stood out was this oil amalgamation that seemed to come from a creepy futuristic plane. In short, this project feels incredible and suitably quirky. A perfect project for fans of cyberpunk, fallout, and survival adventures.

A super deluxe oversized hardcover presentation featuring all the original art, designs and more from the PLANET DEATH series.
Bad Idea has released some interesting comics during their time as publishers, most recently with Planet Death. This ultra-violent, action-packed, and beautifully illustrated comic is so beloved that the Kickstarter raised over $60,000. Having surpassed its original goal of $50,000, it’s no wonder this super deluxe oversized hardcover is so popular right now. It’s not your ordinary art version either. The huge hardcover is packed with information about the series, thorough commentary from the creator, and more artwork than can fit in one book. Therefore, this original art version requires two books. It’s worth considering. If you’re a fan of Warhammer 40k, Gears of War, Heavy Metal, or even Kolstad’s previous work (John Wick), this is the project for you.

DETONATOR #1-6: Complete series!

Goal: $4,000
End date: December 11, 2025
Bonus: Get a digital copy for $15, a physical copy for $25, a digital complete series for $30, a physical complete series for $50, and up to $70 for a hardcover edition.
DETONATOR is an explosive action thriller that explores mental illness, isolation, and friendship through a supervillain.
Detonator caught my eye with its explosive art and design. Detonator himself has one of the coolest designs for an indie superhero I’ve seen in a while. As I read the project’s page, I became even more interested, especially after learning that it was inspired by Invincible and the hit show Barry. This is a comic that explores mental illness, loneliness, and friendship, interwoven with explosive, action-packed scenes. At 145 pages, there’s a little something for everyone, not to mention crazy cover artists like Nouvovich, AC Zamudio, Martin Morazzo, and even Douglas De La Hoz. With great writing, great art, and the backing to bring this series to life, it’s worth checking out.

barber comics

Goal: $3,000

In 2127, the Barbers are a nomad known for their legendary style. This is the story of the worst of them all!
The Barber is one of those projects that immediately stands out. Bold, stylish and full of attitude. Set in 2156 in a civil war-torn America, this story blends Western grit, cyberpunk flair, and street-level swagger into something truly refreshing. The concept of the “barber” as a nomadic warrior who cuts hair and kicks ass is too good to ignore. At its center is the legendary Barber himself, armed with clippers instead of guns, confronting corruption and moral conflict in a world where physical sharpness may be the last thing that matters. With killer art by Aleksandar Bozic, a unique world that feels alive, and reward levels that include original art and exclusive merchandise, this is a project made with passion and personality. If you’re into action, style, and content, The Barber is worth supporting.

Experience the comic book version of the hit apocalypse audio drama with stunning art that visualizes the heartbreaking story.
The Day Everything Changed is a post-apocalyptic comic with heart, guts, and a story that already has a loyal following. Based on the hit audio drama with over 200,000 downloads, the series brings its unforgettable world to life with stunning visuals and emotional storytelling. Following John and his daughter Sarah as they journey through the ruins of the American Northeast, the story delves into survival, loss, and what it means to hold on to hope when everything is taken away from you. “Sick Men” and ruthless garbage collectors pose a terrifying threat, but it’s human connections and choices that hit hardest. With art by Matías De Vincenzo, writing by Lane Fortenberry, and lettering by Marina Leon, this project conveys passion, craft, and a true respect for storytelling that I can’t help but admire. If you like post-apocalyptic series, this is the story for you.
