In the second issue of Dynamite’s original Pathfinder series, a group of heroes grows to deal with the increasingly dangerous threat of a mutated goblin army. Who or what is behind the threat? We’ll have more clues soon, but first we need to dispatch the goblins.
When I started writing this problem, I was sure there was a printing error. It feels almost identical to the opening sequence of issue #1. The biggest clue that this wasn’t what actually happened was a new cast member we met in the last issue but never saw in action. At least one of them has an interesting dynamic, while the other two seem to be pretty compatible (they both seem to be the gruff, bearded types!).
The artwork is still a bit chaotic, making the action sequences difficult to follow. Unfortunately, it’s a bit frustrating in that regard.
Still, the overall mystery of powerful, organized goblins seems to be pretty clear by the end, as is the identity, or at least the appearance, of the dastardly villain behind the plan. Does this reveal mean more to fans of Pathfinder TTRPGs? Maybe it’s because the villain’s identity is being treated like a big reveal, but we have no idea who or what it is.
Hello! I’m Jason. I write articles for midlifegamergeek.com every day. If you’re interested in supporting original, regularly published, human-generated content (that’s never been plagiarized or copied through the efforts of other writers), please help us keep this site running by making a donation.
Not only do I not earn any money from my writing here (though I do earn a small commission from affiliate links posted on my page, but as an Amazon Associate I earn from qualifying purchases from these links), my work sometimes seems to be stolen and repurposed by lazy, morally bankrupt idiots.
No pressure, of course, but we really appreciate any support you can provide. You can easily support us through Ko-Fi.com/geekmid or the PayPal link.
Thank you very much for your donation. I would also like to thank you for taking the time to read my article. Please remember. This entire article is by Jason Brown and can be found at midlifegamergeek.com. Take that, Skynet!
