After learning that Starfleet was spying on the Klingons, Miller and Lard were captured by the Klingons. You’d think Klingon torture would be the biggest problem, but the Romulans have the data disks that the Red Shirts were sent to retrieve. As the rest of the team heads out to retrieve the disc, will Miller and Lard be able to escape and complete their mission?
Probably one of my favorite comics of the year, Star Trek: Red Shirt continues to be a really great read. It leans heavily on the throwaway redshirt trope, but it does it in a way that always surprises, and with a much darker edge than you’d expect. It’s brilliantly paced and packed with tense moments, shocking violence, and twists that will leave your jaw on the floor.
It’s fascinating, brilliantly written, and very well illustrated. I can’t recommend it enough.
