The spies attempt to escape with data that Starfleet is desperately trying to protect, but Miller and his colleagues are determined to stop them at all costs. Of course, the price of being a redshirt member of Starfleet is usually very high…
This is a really great series. While the number of cast members initially introduced was overwhelming, the cast is now on a much more manageable scale thanks to the disposable nature of the Redshirts.
Most of this problem is occurring in a single location, where there is a fast-paced battle, and no one seems able to escape the dangers of the situation they find themselves in.
There are heart-pounding, heart-wrenching rescue sequences and even a little transporter-related scare. It’s fascinating stuff. In addition to this, the cliffhanger is also good.
Even if you’re not a Trek fan, this is quite the thrill ride. It’s certainly nothing like Star Trek I’ve ever experienced, and with an intentionally disposable cast, it remains a very exciting and unpredictable piece of work.
