The Beat is proud to exclusively reveal and solicit information on the cover of Monster High: Boomuda Triangle, a new five-issue miniseries coming this January from IDW Publishing.

After garnering attention for their Monster High Pride special earlier this year, Speldon Cauldronero and Kieran Valentine are set to headline their own miniseries for the first time, from the creative team of writer Megan Brown and artist Eileen Widjaja.

The official recruitment information is below.

Fang’s favorite characters, Speldon Coldronero and Kieran Valentine, star in the terrifying first miniseries. This multiverse adventure offers a glimpse into the monstrous world of steampunk, pirates, and the Wild West, and features alternate versions of Monster High’s favorite characters.

Speldon is eagerly invited to a once-in-a-lifetime summer internship with the all-powerful guardian of the Boomda Triangle, the place where all worlds are held in balance. His boyfriend, Valentine, is intimidated by him but can’t help but worry about how the difference of a few weeks will affect their relationship. What if Speldon forgets him? What would you do if your guardian was horribly hot? What would happen if they fell into a wormhole? So Valentine secretly follows Speldon to the Boomda Triangle to avoid any pranks, and accidentally and unintentionally all the universes are torn apart and converged… Oops! Speldon and Valentine must overcome their insecurities, mend their rifts, and find each other across all universes. Nausea easily!

IDW Editor Riley Farmer said:

“Boomuda Triangle is the beginning of a new era for IDW Monster High comics! With Megan Brown taking over as main writer, readers can expect epic adventures, laugh-out-loud lines, and heartwarming moments of fang-baring. First up, we’re bringing back fan-favorite characters Valentine and Speldon! We couldn’t imagine a better team to bring them back than Megan and Irene Widjaja. Megan’s With its hilarious writing and Irene’s gorgeous art, anyone who is a fan of Monster High, Boys’ Love, or a good story won’t want to miss Boomuda Triangle.”

Monster High: Boomuda Triangle will be in stores on Wednesday, January 28, 2026.
