From Peepee Poopoo to Sluggo. Caroline Cash has been announced as the new manga artist for Nancy Comic Strip.

Olivia Jaimes is the pen name of WebCartoonist whose true identity has never been revealed, but has retired after eight years of smash hits on the strip.

Cash, Eisner and Ignats have been the creators of the hilarious humorous pee pee pee pee pee pee pee pee pee pee pee pee pee pee pee pee pee pee pee pee pee pee pee pee pee pee pee pee pee pee pee pee pee pee pee pee pee pee pee pee pee pee pee pee pee pee pee pee pee pee pee pee pee pee pee pee pee pee pee pee pee pee pee pee pee pee pee pee pee pee pee pee pee pee pee pee pee pee pee pee pee pee pee pee pee pee pee pee pee pee pee pee pee pee pee pee pee pee pee pee pee pee pee pee pee pee pee pee pee pee pee pee pee pee pee pee pee pee pee pee pee pee pee pee pee pee pee pee pee pee pee pee pee pee pee pee pee pee pee pee pee pee pee pee pee pee pee pee pee pee pee pee pee pee pee pee pee pee pee pee pee pee pee pee pee pee pee pee pee pee pee pee pee pee pee pee pee pee pee pee pee pee pee pee pee pee pee pee pee pee pee pee pee pee pee pee pee pee pee pee pee pee pee pee pee pee pee pee pee pee pee pee pee pee pee pee pee pee pee pee pee pee pee pee pee pee pee pee pee pee pee pee pee pee pee pee pee pee pee pee pee pee pee Ernie Bushmiller, a reprint of the strip by Nancy’s most famous practitioner, will run until then.

Cash is no stranger to Nancy. She had a guest stint during the 2024 sabbatical by Gimes.

“Nancy has been a comic strip staple for over 100 years,” said AMS president Brent Baltram. “She has seen her popularity surge in recent years as the strip revival has brought national acclaim. Under the leadership of Ignatz and Eisner’s award-winning cash, the contemporary sensibility brought by Gymes will undoubtedly thrive.

“As a lifelong fan of Nancy, I am honored to be given the opportunity to draw my favourite comic strip,” Cash said. “This is a real dream. I look forward to sharing what I’ve been working on with everyone. A massive congratulations to Olivia with truly incredible Nancy Run. I hope she enjoys retirement.”

“Caroline is an incredible cartoonist and I’m excited to follow her take on this character, which we both love so much,” James said. “I am grateful to my readers and to those who discovered Ernie Bushmiller’s work through the new Nancy, and although it was an honor, it’s time to move on to the next season of my life.

Nancy currently operates over 100 printed newspapers and can be read on gocomics.com.

Comic Strips are a niche product compared to their heydays of the 30s and 60s, but Nancy remains largely due to the reinvention of the strip that broke the fourth wall, and the millennial-friendly jokes and memes.

Under Bushmiller, who took over Fritzi Ritz from strip creator Larry Whittington in 1925, Tyke Tyrant Nancy became the focus of the strip and the name was changed to Nancy. Falling out of geometric simplicity, Bush Miller’s Nancy, famous for her incredible humor, mundane thread-richism and complex formalism, has captivated cartoonists for decades. Scott McCloud created a game called “Five Card Nancy,” which uses individual panels to tell stories. Mark Newgarden investigated a single 276-page Nancy strip with Nancy’s reading. Bill Griffiths has created a cartoon biography of Bushmiller’s Three Rocks. Essays, homages, and even silk ties have celebrated Nancy for many years.

The 2018 acquisition of Jaimes sparked a huge internet fire for some time. As the first woman to actually work on strips, Jaimes took the pseudonym for safety reasons. In a way that was strip, hips, related and continued tradition, the popularity quickly surged even as Gimes, a working web cartting player in his 20s, remains a closely guarded secret.

Cash has become famous for her own rights over the last few years, and Peepee Poopo has found a growing reader with a modern blend of humor, a homage to deep cut comics, and a keenly observed commentary. And if you doubt she is the right person to take over the sacred strip, check out her previous run.
