Welcome to another edition of Fantastic Five. This week we saw three perfect 10 from three different publishers. Let’s go to the book!

The Best Comics of the Week: September 11, 2025

#5: Imperial War: Nova: Centurion #1

“Imperial War: Nova Centurion” #1 gives Richard Rider a squeeze of space

Imperial War: Nova Centurion #1 is a melting pot in the universe where Richard Ryder faces the ghosts of his past and the uncertain future. It is also one of the more interesting one-shots from the Imperial storyline, as it gives one of Marvel’s most powerful space heroes a new purpose.

#4: Absolute Batman #12

“Absolute Batman” #12 redefines the three major villains forever

Absolute Batman #12 is one of Batman’s Mythos’ most audacious twists, transforming his bond with Penguin, Riddler and Two-Face into something more tragic and personal than ever. With Snyder and Dragotta firing on every cylinder, this chapter is plagued by the Rogues gallery where Bruce and his readers feel guilty, regret, and a friend as old as their enemies.

#3: Power 25 #1

“Powers 25” #1 Stylishly Celebrates Comic Anniversaries

Powers 25#1 serves as a new chapter in one of the longest-running independent comics in history and its illustrious return, not to mention the reunion of the creative team. This is truly a manga for everyone. Newcomers have new series to read. Longtime power fans have a new story after many years of waiting.

#2: Transformers #24

“Transformer” #24 marks the end of the Golden Age

Transformers #24 is the end of an incredible golden age for this property, and hopefully the beginning of a new silver age under Kirkman. The book has long been proven since it defeated the odds and proved that there is no one left to prove to us, especially as one of the greatest victories of a licensed comic book history. There was always more than just eye-opening.

#1: Supergirl #5

“Super Girl” #5 is a super cute super pet adventure

Overall, Supergirl #5 is the perfect standalone issue for both DC fans and animal lovers. It has a brilliant attitude in using the Silver Age ratio trop when it comes to the mayhem-causing Cryptonian animals. It also gave space to heartfelt moments like crypto and candy, enjoying food together, and feeling of tinitano and stripes was achieved after saving orphan kitten. Kara and Lesla are not prominent in this issue, but their absence works in the favor of the super pets. Because they allow them to be completely wild and unleashed, making them one of the best stories in Superman Line comics.
