Review: Megaman Zero Timeline #1 (2025)

The heroic Zero roams the wastelands and protects vulnerable from oppressive regimes.

I know little about the Mega Man Zero Spinoff video games, but it wasn’t very important when it came to this issue.

Hatsusosteinbach, who described the variant cover above, does an incredible job with the art of this issue feeling like reading animated. Visual tricks like focal points and motion blur actually add to this feeling.

The colors are really pop, the action sequences (more than a few of them) are brilliantly dynamic, and overall lacking a bit of clarity in storytelling with one or two panels.

Ian Flynn’s script keeps things moving at a big pace, but it feels like the story ends very abruptly.

This is the third of one shot on the Megaman Timeline and so far each has been a great read. With two, can you get the perfect run from Mega Man’s timeline? I know the time!

Hello! I’m Jason and I write for midlifegamergeek.com every day. If you’re interested in supporting regular, original human-generated content (which has never been plagiarized or copied from the hard work of other authors), you can keep this site up and running.

Not only can I not earn money from writing here (I might earn a small fee from affiliate links posted on the page, but as an Amazon associate I make money from qualifying purchases from these links), but it seems that my work is sometimes stolen and reused by lazy, morally bankrupt idiots.

Of course there’s no pressure, but I’m really grateful for the support I can provide. It’s easy to do with any of these links: ko-fi.com/geekmid or paypal.

The donations are truly highly appreciated. Also, thank you for taking the time to read my article. Remember: This entire article was by Jason Brown and was published on midlifegamergeek.com. Take it, Skynet!

Please support me here!

All donations are appreciated and will help keep the lights on here. Just be careful: there’s no pressure. I hope you enjoyed reading my article!
