Earlier this summer, Skybound Comet introduced the latest trance sensations using an intermediate OGN transformer. It was promised as the first in Skybound’s series of original graphic novel imprints, and the first to target young adult and intermediate audiences. Sure enough, today the publisher has announced details of the worst bot sequel OGN, titled Transformers: The Worst Bot – Bot Swap! Available in June 2026 from author Brian “Smitty” Smith (Pea, Bee, Jay) and artist Martz Jr. (void rival cover artist).
Details of the official press release below:
Hijinx and Mayhem continue as readers reunite with Ball Point, a reformed Decepticon. A calamity with an experimental weapon makes him swapping his body with the most feared Decepticon, and he struggles to fit alongside his new Autobot friends.
Will Ball Point’s new size and strength ultimately earn him the acceptance he deserves? But what happens when Mighty Megatron suddenly finds himself in the slightest body of the worst bot ever?
“I’m absolutely thrilled to bring more bot adventures with my biggest ego (and even bigger hearts),” Brian “Smity” Smith said. “The ballpoint pen instantly affected Transformers fans of all ages. I want to lie down for this next ride!”
“What did you get at this time ball point?!” Marz Jr. added, “I’m pumped up to reclaim my beloved Rascal for another eccentric adventure!”
The continuation of the OGN series in middle grades has strengthened the collaboration between Hasbro and Skybound, and a compilation set with a shared energy universe comic book series (Void Rivals, The Time Eisner Awning-Winning Transformers, Gi Joe), Gi Joe: A Reaboot of Gi Joe: A Leal American Hero, Gie fasded Comics of Gei: Faster Comics of Gee and Gi Joe restart.
“My favorite new Transformers Bot is back!” said Alex Antone, editor-in-chief of Skybound. “We are excited to continue the misfortune of Ballpoint with a body swapping story that is guaranteed to please Transformers fans of all ages.
