Azuki, a digital manga platform and publisher, announced that it will add the Young Magazine Special Edition, Kodansha’s Seinen Publications, at Anime NYC 2025. The availability of magazines on the Azuki platform (free!) should come as welcome news for Seinen Manga fans desperately trying to find out where to buy copies of popular publications.
It was first announced in July that Kodansha will expand Young Magazine to the US market in a new English version. The English version features 19 brand new cartoon chapters curated exclusively for American audiences. “The concept behind the magazine features (unfiltered manga), sci-fi, dark horror, and adult cyberpunk stories that portray the unfiltered reality of ordinary humans in exceptional circumstances,” reported Good E Reader last month. Additionally, as a bonus to boost the American release of the magazine, Nakichi, author of legendary cartoon creators including Shuzo Oshimi, author of Evil and Blood Flowers on the Track, Shuichi Shigeno, author of Fuan No tane and PTSD Radio, will be announced from a new title. It also includes Manga, which is currently serialized in the Japanese version of Young Magazine. ”
