“Dc KO” #1 Mystery “Light Out” and “Poly Bags Packed with Rare Foil Variants” Aipt

DC has revealed new details about the upcoming blockbuster event, DC KO, including a special “light-out” polybug-equipped foil variant program that will arrive on October 8th, 2025. Billed as a Battle of the Century, the series throws DC’s biggest fighter into a tournament where only one hero can win the title of King Omega.

DC KO #1, written by Scott Snyder and art by Javi Fernández, begins the next chapter of Saga’s All, following last year’s DC All in Special #1. To mark the release, DC will release the “Light Out” Polybag Special Edition. Each polybag contains one randomly packed foil variant cover. The artist lineup includes Javi Fernández, Jim Lee, Daniel Warren Johnson, Mike Del Mundo, Frank Cho, Jae Lee, Scott Koblish, Ben Oliver, Noobovich, Mark Spears, Dan Mora and Greg Capullo. The more unusual 1:100, 1:250, 1:500, and 1:1000 chase foils are also pushed into the polybag of your choice.

The five-problem event descended through the arena of space gladiators tied to the heart of Apocolip. Superman serves as the emotional center of the story, despite Darkseid’s growing Omega power looming in the tournament. “You have to not relent to win,” Snyder teased, adding that co-artect Joshua Williamson, “Because of what Darkseid did, there’s no future in the DC Universe. The only shot of the Heroes is to stop him in the present.”

The main event will feature tie-ins from the entire DC line, including Justice League: The Omega Act #1, Titans #28, Superman #31, The Flash #26, and Justice League Unlimited #12.

The gloves will be released on October 8th. In DCKO #1, not all fighters are setting it up.
