Twisted Comics and Inkypen are collaborating to provide comic adaptations for the 2017 Black Mirror Season 4 episode. Readers can also enjoy new Black Mirror comics on gaming platforms such as Steam. There are 2 days left for Black Mirror. Covered by USSCalister Kickstarter, the adaptation of the official graphic novel of the groundbreaking episode, a comic book written by Neil Gibson, artist Silvano Belttramo, and artist Butcher Billy.

“Readers can sign up for Inkypen, an entirely can-can-read Comic subscription that was released immediately on Steam to read a preview of Dystopian Tale, published by Twisted Comics and drawn by Slivano Beltramo, gaming platform.”

Twisted Comics secures the right to adapt the Dystopian series as a graphic novel in the global distribution division of content powerhouse Banijay Entertainment, and plans to follow the adaptation of another popular episode, San Junipero in 2026.

70,000 copies of San Junipero’s previews have been released as part of 2025 Free Comic Book Day

“Last year Neal approached the Black Mirror fork and gave me a copy of the theory. After reading the comics, I was told that Twist Comics is the perfect people we can make official Black Mirror comics.

This is a truly cool treat that rarely gets the big intellectual property in the hands of a solid indie creator. Although powerful properties are often caught up in large publishers, there are some surprising stories, but sometimes the art itself gets lost in the larger halls of corporate deals.

That said, you need funding to do something new, so give Neil and the twisted comics support with Kickstarter (I have it!), and that really makes a difference.”

Black Mirror: Neil Gibson’s USS Callister: Check out the first 20 pages of Black Mirry: USS Callister drawn by Slivano Beltramo.

“(Episode USS Callister) was particularly close to my mind because it really went beyond my work, from the series’ mere internet fan art to the props of actual production design. I suddenly became part of the story that first served me as fuel. Under that light, I decided to challenge myself to revisit that world, and the comic book media couldn’t make it even more exciting,” Butcher Billy said.

The USS Callister collectible hardback can be pre-ordered on Kickstarter, and may be drawn with the crew, and a collector’s edition with Butcher Billy covers.

Written by Charlie Brooker and Annabelle Jones, the Black Mirror aired on British Channel 4 and is now available globally on Netflix, with its seventh season premiering in April. The creative team of Booker and Jones has left the production company for Broke & Bones, owned by Netflix, but Booker wants to continue writing the series.
