Fantagraphics has released a new book by influential (and controversial) cartoonist Robert Crumb and Tales of Paranoia, scheduled for November. The book is the first of 81 years old since Mystic Funnies #3 in 2002, and consists of 12 short comics, “Mixing Memoirs, Controversy, Neurology, and Conspiracy,” including the late finale of the 1993 series Dirty Laundry.

The story of Paranoia cover art by Robert Crumb

The single-handed cartoonist who returned in 1967 at the age of 81 and invented an alternative comic form for first-person anthology on his own, still infuriated with the world and himself, still portraying like a master, still funny… most of the time! On his latest comic field trip, Crumb jumps out rabbit holes on the internet and in the newspapers, asking questions. Why don’t you know the true background of deep state careerists? Is Kram himself just as delusional as everyone else says he is him? Or is it something they want you to think about?

Crumb recently revived earlier this year, being the subject of a new biography, Crumb: A Cartoonist’s Life by Dan Nadel (who Crumb provided the cover art). Before this book, we will be at the David Zwiener gallery in Los Angeles from October 10th. Crumb: Tales of Paranoia exhibition will precede it. Crumb’s first exhibition in Los Angeles was presented at the 2009 Hammer Museum: R.

Additionally, Fantagraphics has announced that Tales of Paranoia will mark the beginning of its 50th anniversary celebration. Founded in 1976 by Gary Gross and Michael Catron and published various Clam comics since 1987, the company has released a new logo with a two-page preview that lets you see:
