Written by Newcomer Tonke and drawn by industry veteran Mitsuya, the Raven Dark hero aims to shake the foundations of the superhero genre. Mitsuya is renowned for her work with sacred Chevalier and Woman Kiri Ni Naru, and this latest collaboration is a bold step away from traditional spandex-covered heroes and black and white morals.
Instead, Raven Dark Hero throws readers into a dark and gritty world. Unlike what readers have seen before, Tonke creates settings and blurs the line between “good” and “evil” every turn.
At the heart of this world is Suu Kouki, a young man who has dreamed of becoming a hero since his birth. However, when he discovers hidden powers in a moment of despair, the dream is quickly stolen by a curse. As Sue confronts the brutal reality of the world around him, he is forced to face the very possibility that he once vowed to fight.
