Panick Entertainment has unveiled the first spine of Black Diamond, a Scandinavian-set psychological horror comic series by author Brendan Columbus and artist Danilo Beyruth. With an unforgettable visual and sense of fear, the trailer teases the calm stakes of upcoming miniseries. It blends with Hitchcock’s slow burning tension and the pagan horror of an evil man.
In Black Diamond, the picturesque family ski trip turns into a nightmare when Owen and Victoria Welch’s young son disappear on the slope. But this is not a simple case of missing people. The couple soon faces a secluded mountain cult that makes them an unthinkable offer: take another child as a sacrifice, or lose themselves forever.
When the clock ticking and the authorities become suspicious, Welch places the Spiral in a hopeless moral crisis, forcing them to stand up to how far they will go for their families and what they may lose in the process.
The series features moody, snowy interiors by Bayloose, air colours by Lee Luffridge, and unforgettable covers by Ben Templesmith.
Black Diamond promises to be an attractive descent into the dark powers of fear, guilt and belief.
