Through Forbes Magazine, IDW Publishing has announced the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles X Godzilla. Written by Tim Seeley along with the art of Fero PE, the series rethinks the Foot Family as founded to protect Japan from Kaiju, like Godzilla. Anyway, Leonardo, Raphael, Michael Guerro and Donatello have to head to Japan to stop the monsters.

Editor Jake Williams said, “There could be two or three other ideas in the whole idea that the Monster King and Hero are as symbolic as the semi-shell King, and that there could be two or three other ideas. Mashing them up was a complete and total joy.
Seeley previously wrote the new IDW Godzilla comics marking the publisher’s shared Kai-Sei era universe’s beginnings and the story of this year’s Godzilla vs. America: Chicago.
Issue #1 will be released on November 12th. Until then, you can check out more artwork at Forbes. In the meantime, Turtle will be performing with IDW and a boom! The studio’s latest crossover, Mighty Morphin Power Rangers/Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles III (from August 13), Godzilla destroys the Marvel Universe (starting on July 16), DC’s Justice League vs. Godzilla vs. Kong 2 (third Issula vs. The Universe collecting new one-shots of the year will also be released on September 30, with the collection of Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles x Naruto on October 7.
