Dynamite Entertainment has announced that it has acquired the rights to the comic book for Buffy The Vampire Slayer and Angel. Although some other details have not been shared except that David Nakayama will provide covers for both series, Thompson, editor Nate Cosby and CEO Nick Barrucci still had a lot to say about the new era of Buffyverse and Dynamite.

Thompson said, “In my early days I’ve become a writer and I’m trying to find out what stories are important to me and why. The heroine, like Buffy Summers, was very unbreakable for me. Following on, her whole world.”
Cosby commented: “There was one name on my wish list of Buffy writers.
Baloch said, “Buffy the Vampire Slayer is one of the gems of the crown of modern television, and comic fans know that this medium is more than making her mark. Contribute and build to newly returned fans!”
Dynamite will be the third home in Buffyverse comics following the Dark Horse and Boom, which held its license from 1998 to 2018! The last series of Buffy: The Last Vampire Slayer (Casey Gilly and Oriol Roig) studios were released in 2023. It strengthens the relationship between franchise owners Disney and Dynamite. Details will be announced soon, but it is likely that the series creator Joss Whedon will not be involved, as in future shows. In 2021, following allegations of abusive behavior from Whedon, Gellar (who serves as executive producer of Revival) declared:
