It’s hard to believe that White Tiger, a groundbreaking character created by Bill Mantoro and George Perez, made his debut on Kung Fu’s Deadly Hand Page 50 years ago. The first Latin American protagonists of American comics and Marvel’s first Hispanic characters, they appeared in various incarnations and various Marvel media throughout that period. Later this year, Marvel will publish one shot of White Tiger Reborn, which sees two stories, rather than one, featuring two incarnations of this iconic character. Authors Daniel Jose Old and Cynthia Perayo and artists Bruno Abydas and Mois Hidalgo will be creative in this book, celebrating the month of Hispanic and Latin American heritage.
