Marvel and Dynamite worked together to provide fans with two crossovers between the Fantastic Four and Gargoyle. Earlier this year, fans saw Gargoyle/Fantastic Four written by Gargoyles creator Greg Wiseman, and wrote by George Cumbadice, art by Jeff Eckleberry. Gargoyles/Fantastic Four was previewed in this year’s Gargoyles: Demona #0 Free Comic Book Day issue.
And this time, fans can go out on October 15th to see Fantastic Four/Gargoyle #1, a Marvel one-shot of Greg Wiseman and artist Enid Baram, who set the same continuity as Dynamite’s upcoming one-shot. In both sagas, fans will see Marvel’s legendary superhero family working with the gang against Goliath, Elisa Maza, Brooklyn, and the respective universe villains of their respective teams.
“I feel it’s perfect for the first family in the Marvel universe to interact with the first family in the Gargoyles universe, the Manhattan clan. These two heroes, both from Baxter buildings, one from Aileyville, one from the commons, and a bit of a bit, have led to a massive presence. Gargoyles is now in the early 90s, Weissman said.
Marvel’s first family unites with the Manhattan clan!
A danger arises when Super Vigil Diablo learns that Stone Gargoyle may hold the secret of eternal life…but the Gargoyle is not trying to leak his own blood to him! Luckily they have the help of expert Diablo Basher, the Fantastic Four! Plus: Tony Stark and David Zanatos compare their facial hair, Marvel’s gargoyle, Isaac Christian, his new kinship and more!
