More announced for Gail Simone and Age of Revelation!

The announcement of Marvel’s upcoming revelation age will continue in stages. The current Marvel method is revealed per day due to events of this size and range. Today’s announcement appears a little more calm after yesterday revealing that Jonathan Hickman has returned to the X-Books. However, these announcements provide a greater view of the Marvel universe that exists in this alternative future. Naturally, that may seem awful to the hero, but it’s a lot of fun for readers.

Naturally, Gail Simone, who currently writes Uncanny X-Men, will work on one of his main X-Men books using the unbreakable X-Men. Simone’s current creepy run with artist David Marquez (to tackle the writing duties of Sinister’s Six) is one of the more well-received books of the Age of Ashes. Looking at her more fun writers, they look particularly like blind gambits, with characters working on them in a dark future. A fresh Lucas Werneck at Run on Storm joins her for Unbreakable. With Jed Mackay writing that Amazing and Simone will not break, the next announcement is that Eve Eving writes the Expatriate X-Men (nods to the classic new Mutants logo in that title).

One of the fun parts of events like Age of Apocalypse is seeing how different creative teams approach this world and respond to familiar characters in sometimes shocking ways. With the title announced today, the creative team appears to show a dystopian future that is very different from what we saw before. We get it with an anti-hero and villain team led by Mr. Sinister in the power struggle with revelation. A book about a team of mutants set out to kill the storm. And how will Emma Frost navigate this future and what does Tony Stark have to do with it? The world unleashed in an age of revelation continues to provide an interesting window for Marvel fans. Below is an overview and cover of this latest book:

Yesterday, fans learned about the First Five Era Apocalypse series, which is on sale on October 8th. Discover all the hit stands today, October 15th.

The new launches include the Unbreakable X-Men, the flagship X-Men title featuring many of Haven House’s X-Men, including Gambit and Autliers and the all-new Spider-Girl. Rogue Storm reveals the dark destiny of Earth’s most powerful mutants. Iron and Frost centered around Emma Frost and Tony Stark. Sinister’s six stars a team of deadly mutants led by Sinister. Can they stop the darkness of lightning that has been hiding beneath the surface for centuries, and scream to break free? Or do they fail and see the God of vengeance bringing an armed force of tormented souls to the surface, crying for the blood of the mutant?
