James Gunn’s Superman begins with a bold statement. Meta-driven heroes have traveled the world for 300 years. Its rich foundation is visually celebrated with impressive murals announced in the cinema Hall of Justice.
As Lois Lane visits the headquarters of the Justice Gang, funded by Maxwell Road, viewers get a glimpse of a spongy mural celebrating the vast pedigree of metahumans. Among the heroes immortalized on the walls,
Silent Night
The Black Pirate
Jay Garrick Flash
Atomic Night
Wildcat
atmosphere
Princess Amethyst of Gemworld
Black Bison
Sandman
Specter
Additionally, various unknown figures – the family Viking-type characters, individuals riding horses, and others wear mysterious and stately boots.
This is a snapshot of the mural that is available via trailers and clips.
These visuals support the gunman, Letcon, who is not the first American hero, but the latest in the celebratory tradition.
The mural was teased in a promotional interview and was first revealed at a London fan event. There, Gunn emphasized that the film is packed with Easter eggs. Does this mean you’ll get a Judicial Society movie or cartoon at some point? DC Studios plans to produce two films and one animation show in a year, so all the signs point to “yes.”
Why is it important:
It highlights the long history of the hero, reflecting the film’s opening crawl.
It teases future DCU projects, including the possible narratives of the judicial society.
Eagle Eyed Fans reward rich DC lore.
The mural is tied to deeper themes explored in recent AIPT comic works, including the purpose of Crypton’s message and reflections on heroism and heritage.
