Courtesy of IDW, AIPT can share the first look of the interior color page for the event Horizon: Dark Descent #1. The first issue began at the comic shop on August 20th, making the series a great start. Written by Christian Ward (Batman Author: The Cities of Madness), Art by Tristan Jones (Alien: Rebellion), and Color by Pip Martin.

Martin says, “It brings a lot of darkness to the ship, but the greenery of the disease and the strange teal helps to create a sense of anxiety.” AIPT also has an exclusive quote from Martin.

“First of all, I love horror! So for me, this is a very exciting series to be involved,” Martin said. “Exploring Blood is an absolute joy because it covers the e and the scenery of hellish spaces with colour. Plus, it’s an honor to join Christian and Tristan on an incredibly talented team. I can’t wait for people to see it!”

So, what is Event Horizon: About the Dark Descent?

It took place before the film’s events and now fully accessible to new readers, this is an incredible tale of the ultimate fate of the original event Horizon Crew. What really happened when Captain Killpack and the first crew members travelled through the realm of nightmarish suffering beyond their imagination? As a demonic force led by Paimon, the eyesless king of hell, he abandons all hope and unleashes suffering and pure evil on his crew in a fascinating tale.
