Dark Horse Manga has joined the popular deluxe edition of Lone Wolf and Cub, officially revealing their next classic title. The groundbreaking series by author Kazuo Koike and artist Goseki Kojima is scheduled to hit the bookstore on December 9th, 2025, and Comic Shops on December 10th, starting with the Lonely Wolf and Cub Deluxe Edition Volume 1.
The New Deluxe Edition line has become popular among collectors of comics and graphic novels, with its high quality design, larger trim sizes and faithful presentations. Lone Wolf and Cub receive the same treatment, introducing the iconic Samurai Saga in the original left-to-left read format, featuring the original Japanese sound effects. The English translation is by Dana Lewis and is lettered by Studio Cutie.
First released in the 1970s, the series is widely considered to be one of the most influential comics of all time. The story follows Ogami Itto, the executioner of a former general who was framed for rebellion and forced into exile. Towing his young son Dagoro, he heads out on the path of Ronin, seeking revenge from a brutal, merciless feudal Japan.
Lone Wolf and Cub Deluxe Edition Volume 1 originally collected the materials from the first two volumes of Dark Horse Paperback Edition, and the story of Volume 3 is the story.
Its stunning storytelling, visceral artwork and deep philosophical undercurrents make Lone Wolf and Cub a towering achievement in cartoon history. The New Deluxe Edition offers both longtime fans and newcomers the perfect way to experience this samurai epic in the most visually impressive form.
Each Deluxe Edition includes 720 pages, measuring 7″ x 10″ and selling for $54.99. Pre-orders are currently available from Amazon, Barnes & Noble, Bookshop.org, and local comic shops.
