Marvel is gearing up for a major milestone with the Amazing Spider-Man #1000, starting in September with issue 11, 975th in the series. To celebrate the countdown, superstar artist Lee Bermejo creates a special run of amazing Visions variant covers that starts at issue #11 and continues until #36.
Bermejo’s 25 cover highlights some of the most iconic and decisive moments in Spider-Man history, from his story of origin to his major confrontation with his greatest enemy. Known for his realistic style from his hyper, Vermajo brings grounded cinematic energy to Spidey’s past, present and future.
“I always wanted Spider-Man to feel authentic,” Bamejo said. “Even if I was lost in all my fantasies, I was imagining how his skills worked, how his outfit would suit me. With these covers, I can rethink key moments through my lens, celebrating the work of all the creators who are timeless.”
Spider-Man editor Nick Lowe said, “Lee Barmejo has an unusual ability to make something completely familiar feel completely new. His work is a great way to celebrate the #1000 lead.”
As Bermejo told us in his Batman cover, which was reprinted in a single issue, the cover might be a story in itself.
The first three Amazing Visions variant covers are displayed.
Each issue features both the standard version and the Virgin Variant Edition by Bermejo. More cover will become clear as an anniversary approach. For updates, please visit Marvel.com.

New York, New York – June 24, 2025 – This September, part of the hit current run by Joe Kelly, Pepe Lalaz and John Romita Jr., the amazing Spider-Man #11 is the amazing Spider-Man milestone issue 975th. To celebrate, superstar artist Lee Bermejo draws variant covers of each issue of Amazing Spider-Man, starting at #11 and ending with next year’s 1000th issue, Amazing Spider-Man #36. 25 amazing vision variant covers depict important events in Spider-Man history starting with his groundbreaking origins and his first encounter with his most iconic supervillain!
Award-winning Eisner nominated artist Lee Bamejo is an industry standout and has been praised for his breathtaking style of Hypersetel. Watch him take on Spider-Man’s past, present and future by highlighting the hero’s biggest stories, from his basic adventures to modern classics. Unfolding over next year is a great way to tell the upcoming landmark moments of Spider-Man’s Legacy, the historic 1000th issue of Amazing Spider-Man!
“Even as a child, I could never separate my sense of realism from the way I thought of Spider-Man,” Bamejo explained. “I’ve always wanted to know how his webshooter works and why he couldn’t see the lines that the mask was attached to his costume, but he can completely lose himself in the fantasy of a teenager bitten by a radioactive spider walking down the wall and lifting the car. I respect the important legacy that so many creators I love have contributed over the years, from the ground up to the groundbreaking issue #1000 of Amazing Spider-Man.”
“There are rare artists that we’ve seen millions of times and somehow can make it revolutionary. Lee Bamejo is one of those artists,” says Spider editor Nick Lowe. “We were looking for a way to celebrate our lead-up to Amazing Spider-Man #1000. To Lee Balmejo, making the most important moment in the amazing Spider-Man history 25 seemed like a way to do so!”
