Renegade Arts Entertainment has presented its third and final work at Bill Slavin’s multiple award-winning Mordecai Crow Trilogy, Blood and Fire.
We reclaim time to see the devastated world of crows through the eyes of our mother Raven. The story of Raven, who snatched the threads of the first two books, weaves the story of blood and fire, leading to an action-packed climax published on the walls surrounding the battle of the Ironcast, the throne of the ruling ruler of Lord Ruddite Pike.
Why did the mad bandit chief Zeya deliver a crow in the hands of Luddites? Will Stalwart Podd succeed in finding his friend again, with the help of dozens of misfits in the bakery? And most importantly, will our hero Mordecai Crow finally unravel the secrets of his lost past?
Everything is revealed against the rumours of war and plot.
Mordecai Crow Trilogy debuted in Jarrow’s Secrets in 2023, followed by last year’s Quid Pro Crow. In case you haven’t caught up, here’s a detailed explanation of the entire series.
In a future where past secrets are lost and knowledge is prohibited, the technology that hates luddites has won over a world of scarce resources and devastating and unpredictable weather. Beyond this devastated landscape of civilization, small pockets of gnostic resistance preserve knowledge housed in scattered ruins of “ticks” before the cloud, in a shelter known as the firewall.
Mordecai Crow is a castaway man, stuck between two worlds and does not belong to either. A survivor of the global meltdown, striving to regain lost knowledge, he was nurtured by Radithes, a war-like faction of fanatic anti-technology fundamentalist with an evangelical agenda. Looking for answers to his past, he has led him into a dangerous quest through dangerously divided lands.
