Round Table Children

In 2020, comic writer Tom Taylor was hit with the 7 Secret series! studio. The series, which continued with 18 issues, ended in 2022 when Taylor and Di Nichlolo expressed their desire to work together again in the future. Three years later, Taylor and Di Nicuolo are reunited with a new project with DC Comics’ Cort: Children of the Round Table. Colourist Rain Beredo and letter Wes Abbott join in, this 6th issue comic book limited series A fresh all-aged legend is incorporated into the old legend.

Here’s how the publisher explained the series:

For centuries, elite forces known as the Camelot Legion protected ancient secrets and waited for the day when these myths were needed by the world. That day is today.

Youngfell, Connor and their friends are left unsettled as they are almost crushed by a huge stone falling from the sky. Their lives change forever when they find themselves fast packed in stones. Fel pulls a sword from the stone, and her friends all receive their own Arthur legend, and the game continues for a new generation of champions!

These destined children will soon face great evil. But they don’t do that on their own. Because these friends were chosen to wield ancient magic weapons. A wonderful weapon tied to the legendary knights. Is that… a weapon to talk? The weapon to discuss. The weapons of argument were fused with the spirit of the Order of the Roundtable, and children were chosen to wield these weapons as new dark ages fell into the world.

With the power of the evil Mordred growing, the fate of the world rests on the hands of these new children’s round tables!

The DC Universe has a long history with King Arthur’s legend through characters such as Shining Knight and Etrigan. As the official explanation revealed, readers can expect that Mordred, son of Morgaine le Faye, will appear. It is not yet seen whether other established DC characters related to Camelot are displayed.

Court: Roundtable Kids show Di Niculo’s first DC project.

“We are delighted to be part of this new project. It is exciting to be part of DC’s first project. We cannot wait for readers of all ages to join this new young hero band!”

Author Tom Taylor added:

“As King Arthur was sleeping in the mountains and waiting for the day he woke up, Colt stayed with me, and for a long time in my draft folder, these brave young heroes finally rose to their feet and could not imagine anything more perfect than partnering with Daniele di Nikuoro and DC Comics. To take on the tyrant: Children on a round table.”

CORT: Roundtable #1 kids will arrive at comic shops and digital platforms on September 10th, 2025, and can be pre-ordered and added to pull lists starting Friday, June 20th.

The first issue will be released with a main cover by Di Nicuolo and a variant cover by Darko Lafuente and Nicoletta Baldari. Artists Mattia de Iulis (#2), Bengal (#3), Jon Sommariva (#4), Tony Valente (#5) and Tirso (#6) will also offer variant covers throughout the new series. The main cover sells for $3.99, with a card stock variation of $4.99. CORT: Round Table children carry content descriptors of all ages (rated by everyone) in DC.
