Set in a world where magic has long faded, the story continues with two best friends, Salen Iyer and Rush Cohen. They are torn apart by the invasion of the devil and find themselves on the other side of the war between the angels and the devil. Earth gets caught up in a crossfire when Lucifer films Archangel Michael in desperate play and unleashes the Grand Tournament, a Grimoire with the power to unleash hell.
Soren is saved by sacred order and learns to wield the empire, the sacred energy of angels. Meanwhile, Rush is dragged into Limbo by a ruthless warlock, forcing him to become stronger with all the demons he kills. As their paths diverge and their power grow, the bonds they once shared are put to the ultimate test, setting the stage for a cosmic showdown that could potentially reconstruct their world.
