The iconic Hannah Barbera hero is back in action! This September, Blue Falcon & Dynomutt will be making their long-awaited return with Dynamite Entertainment’s brand new comic book series, in collaboration with Warner Bros. Discovery Global Consumer Products.
Radley Crown (Brilliant Inventor and High-Society Art Collector) is everything, including the penthouse above a big city and his loyal dog. But when violent gangs turn their lives upside down, everything changes. In the wake of the tragedy, Radley uses his craft genius to transform both himself and his dog companion into the ultimate crime combat duo, Blue Falcon and Dawnhamut and Dog Wonder.
The new series is written by fan favorite Jimmy Palmiotti (Harley Quinn, Jonah Hex), who grew up to love classic comics. Joining him is artist Pasquale Qualano (Dejah Thoris, DC vs. Vampires), who brings a fresh, modern edge to the pair’s heroic adventures. This new take dives deeper into their bonds and origins, not as a simple reboot, but as a darker, more emotionally based tale of resilience and revenge.
“This isn’t just about superhero origin,” Palmiotti said. “It’s about the connection between a man and a dog during a life-changing event, and I make it fun.
The debut issue also features an exciting lineup of variant covers from top artists such as Lucio Parillo, Joseph Michael Linner, Francesco Matina and Amanda Connor.
Blue Falcon & Dynomutt #1 will be featured in the Diamond Comic Distributor catalogue in the July 2025 preview catalogue and will be appearing in the comic shop in September 2025.
