Marvel Comics continues to celebrate Marvel Studios this July through Variant Covers. Fantastic Four: First Step Variant Cover. The cover revealed today features a human torch and a silver surfer.

Human Torch Art is based on the artwork of the film version of Cosmic Icon Silver Surfer, head of visual development at Marvel Studios, Ryan Meinerding, and concept artist Wesley Burt of Marvel Studios.

New York, New York – June 16, 2025 – A monumental summer for Marvel’s first family! In addition to Marvel Studios’ highly anticipated film The Fantastic Four: Fartical Steps, which will open in theaters on July 25th, the groundbreaking superhero team embarks on a new comic book adventure for Fantastic Four #1. The new management debut issue of writer Ryan North and artist Humberto Ramos arrives at the comic shop on July 9th. Today, fans can check out the portrayal of the human torch in flight by the head of visual development at Marvel Studios, and the first two covers, the head of visual development of the artwork for the film version of the Cosmic Icon Silver Surfer, by Marvel Studios concept artist Weslie Bart.

Fantastic Four #1 launches a new chapter in the work on Ryan North’s title, creating the perfect point for readers who want to experience one of today’s most acclaimed superhero titles in time for a new film! Volume begins a whole new adventure of a superhero team who started it all when traveling through time, space, science and human states! It starts with a classic showdown between the Fantastic Four and their arch-foe, Doctor Doom. When Doom uses the best powers of the newly acquired magician to scatter teams in four different eras in Earth’s history, things are devastatingly wrong! Solitary and isolated and isolated in very different periods, Reid, Johnny, Ben and Sue all want to survive and their shared brilliance lead them together!
