Award-winning colorist Matt Hollingsworth has now become Blueski today for claiming he has not received royalties for his colored work in the Dark Horse series Chrononout.
In response to a Dark Horse post urging fans to check out Mark Miller’s Chronauts Library Edition next week, Hollingsworth said, “Chronaut is about to conquer the world with live television!
“Thank you. Don’t buy this. I won’t take the money,” Hollingsworth added in another post. “I don’t want to be associated with this cartoon. You’ve not received the money if you buy it, so boycott it.”
The response to the fans explains Hollingsworth’s appeal for boycotts. “(Mark Miller) refused to pay me royalties. I colored it because Sean (Murphy) paid me an extra out of money to make up for the lack of royalties.
Hollingsworth is one of the most prolific colourists of the past 20 years. It’s a shame to reveal this play. “I literally get royalties with almost everything I’m working on. It’s from a big publisher,” and “I’m not going to work with Miller again. I did this out of loyalty to Sean (Murphy),” concluded Hollinsworth.
For fans who want to support Hollingsworth, he added: “I’m working on: Thor, the Genocide, Gotham of Gaslight and a few other comics that have not been announced.
Mark Miller is not Blueski, but he had a profile in a British newspaper yesterday. The film explains, “We sold the (mirror) comic book Empire Mirror World to Netflix for almost £25 million in 2017.” He announced his new comic and film Psychic Sam, saying “Netflix deals are “like a lottery,” and he coordinated the cooperation of his family and his workplace. Court Bridge where he grew up. ”
