It’s a stunning finale of a crossover that everyone loved! With Shredder having one power, you’ll be able to take the total power of Team 7 and the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles and defeat him. Well, these two types of ninjas have grown to look at each other like family. They will have to do everything they can together against this threat. And with the fourth crossover between the two epic franchises approaching the end, the only question remaining is whether the hype could have lasted forever. In my opinion, yes, and the reason for this is:

The promise itself was always pretty simple. The two groups must work together to save their friends. It’s a story as old as it was in the ages, and it’s one of the easiest ways to surpass two series without attacking each other. On this issue, what I am grateful for was that it was different from the previous issue. They worked in individual pairs and combined teams. Both groups work as a combined unit this time to stop the shredder. We’ve seen both books fight threats on their own, and it’s fun to see how the two of them work together and combine their unique skills and fighting style into an epic showdown. The book itself did not provide much depth for these characters, but it was never supposed to be, so it works well. Through the well-crafted interactions between these teams, writer Caleb Gerner can fully encapsulate both worlds without ignoring the focus of the story.

The book assumes that there is an understanding of the baselines of these characters, and that understanding allows us to find ways to appreciate both universes without explaining individual relationships or problems. For example, even if Naruto hasn’t finished, all you need to know is the concept of the first arc or two arcs. As far as the Turtles are concerned, I’ve never read one of their comics and just watched movies and TV shows, I felt like I had an equally complete understanding of each character. Shredders work well as a threat here. Because with his unique powers, it provides more reasons why Naruto’s character is here. Overall, this book feels like a real love letter to all the characters involved. The writing is well-written and maintains a steady pace. This isn’t the best issue in the series, but it was a great conclusion that gave each character a sparkle.

As I said before, this miniseries has been beautifully described many times, and this issue is no exception. What I am grateful for is how Hendry Prasetya can draw the power of each character with unique linework that helps create ripple effects when moments occur. Another strength here is that the colouring of this issue helps to bring everything to a more vibrant environment, allowing something like underground battles to feel exciting as if the sequences were on the real battlefield. Plus, the incredible colouring from Raul Anglo is good for popping each universe character in every way, while the turtles are portrayed with a dynamism that is usually visible. As a result, the book is beautifully painted and highly respects both art styles.

Overall, this is a truly fun issue that reminds readers of how much fun the comic is. This is not a book on some super-complex issues, nor is it intended to be a game-changing thing. That’s completely fine. In fact, that’s a big reason why books thrive. The creative team involved fully understands the core concepts of these characters, and their appreciation for these worlds is clear from the beginning to the end.
