It’s a crossover you never expected but always wanted! Deadpool, Batman Cross Swords and Batarangs unite Marvel and DC for the first time in decades! Wade Wilson was hired for a job in Gotham City, but will the world’s biggest detective help or destroy him?

The first crossover that was teased earlier this year marks 21 years since the last Marvel/DC crossover created by the JLA/Avengers (Kurt Busiek and the late George Perez) in 2003-04.
In an exclusive announcement at Entertainment Weekly, DC Publisher Jim Lee said: “We draw the conclusions of every generation of readers once. As for the reasons, the timing of not wanting to do these often should be correct. On the business side, we share revenue, but that’s going to be a big deal.
Marvel President Dan Buckley said of his hero’s choice: “It just felt like a fun combo. I’m very frank. It was even more complicated. Deadpool is wandering around with Batman. There’s a lot of revillains. It’s been my readers and readers back in the industry.”
For more information about Lee, Buckley, Wells, Capro, Morrison and Mora, head to Entertainment Weekly. Deadpool/Batman will be released by Marvel on September 17th, and DC will be releasing Batman/Deadpool in November. In addition to the main storyline, the comic includes backups featuring more encounters between Marvel and DC characters. Details about these, including the creative team, will be announced at a later date. Another crossover is expected to follow in 2026.
