Thanks to Dogu Publishing and Dark Horse Comics, The Beat reveals the upcoming hardcover collection of the latest Usagi Yojimbo series scheduled for the bookstore on Tuesday, November 25th, 2025, 10,000 plums, and the comic shop’s first look the following day. The limited edition features new cover art by creator Stansakai and colorist Emifzy to showcase unique numbered chip-in (separately printed) sheets signed by Sakai.
The official explanation is as follows:
The trees in the 10,000 plum valley are beautiful to see. However, wetlands, or pickled plums, made in local villages, are famous for their powerful medicinal properties and their favourites of the generals. As a series of fatal events grab the valley in horror, the Shogun’s samurai strongman is quickly suspicious as the film, Kuno and Shogun wander among the precious leaves. Can their appearance be merely a coincidence? The collection also includes Stan Sakai’s inspiring personal “Tabo” story.
