Last year, Vault Comics announced it had acquired the rights to Kid Maroon. Now, the publisher has revealed details of a new graphic novel starring the icon of the 1940s. This is written by Christopher Cantwell. Kid Maroon was a comic strip about a stubborn child detective investigating a horrifying crime in his hometown of Crimville.
“The series immediately attracted a great deal of controversy as it was told about Shepherd’s nihilistic outlook, tendencies towards violence and obsession with bathtub Laudhanum,” according to Vault Comics. “The backlash against the series, coupled with the rise in the comic code, led to the cancellation of the strip after just 216 episodes. Since.”

After 75 years off, Kid Maroon is getting his own OGN
For the first time in 75 years, Cantwell, Santos and Company are giving fans a new take on classic comic strip detectives.
“I’ve been wanting to write for years stories about a child’s maroon,” Cantwell said. “Because the Kid Maroon feels like me.”
“It’s funny because I remember being a child and not being able to wait to grow up. I feel like I grew up fast every day. I often want to come back. Children face the same struggle in our books. Certainly, his world is loaded with pulp gangs and murderers. Pinko writes diatrib against sales tax, but his best story has always been about a boy who was caught up in the world.
“I have to confess that I didn’t know about the existence of the character Kid Maroon, but as soon as I began my investigation, my love came to a glance,” Santos said. “That wild boy is Dick Tracy, a compact version of the spirit, and he doesn’t know how many other precoded pulp heroes. At the same time, he was everything I wanted when I was a brat.

Two years ago, Walden Maroon outweighed the mystery of his small town, his beloved parents, and low stakes, including missing butterflies and stolen cookies. Since then he has lived in the caves of Crimville, where criminals, deputies and corruption are city bread and butter. However, at age 12, the child is tired. Can he crack the case with his quick wisdom and things shots when a series of horrifying murders and Arson gush into the streets? Or does Kid Maroon secretly long for something he never did?
