After 25 issues, the highly acclaimed Immortal Thor series will end in July this year. Don’t be afraid of true believers! The title may be over, but Marvel has announced that not only will the new Thor book be rebooted, but author Al Ewing will continue to write everyone’s favorite story of Scandinavian gods. Participating in Ewing is nothing but an artist Pasquel Ferry. Fans probably know well, so the ferry is no stranger to the god of thunder, which author Matt Fraction’s Thor ran over 15 years ago.
Marvel is bringing things closer to their best, but publishers are making fun of the characters’ big status quo shift. Based on the details and cover, you might want to envision Thor adopting a fatal identity in Donald Blake or Eric Masterson’s veins. I think I’ll have to wait until July to find the conclusion of Immortal Thor #25.
Thor’s imminent ending on Al Ewing’s page of Immortal Thor has been teased for months. Now let’s learn about his coming rebirth! Following Immortal Thor #25 in July, Ewing will begin a new run along with artist Pascu Alfery. Pascu Alfery makes a fierce return to the character following the work that was praised for Matt Fraction’s Tall Run. A major change in Ewing’s overall Thor’s story, Thor #1 sets a seductive new status quo for the god of Thunder, unlike anything in his 60-plus-year history.
The legend begins!
Nordic mythology speaks of the gods who walked the earth and does great things for the people who believed in them. But Asgard was not the real thing and was never the case. God never danced in our sky, never stood with our heroes, never fought for kindness or justice. It was all just a story. No one is coming to help us. But somewhere in the city… a man is awake.
A man with a hammer.
“Since the first issue of Immortal Thor, Thor has faced the end of his story…but that was only the end of Act 1,” explained Ewing. “As the next chapter begins, Thor has to face threats from places he has never been to before, from places he has never faced. Is he alive? Is he dead?
