Marvel Comics revealed the Imperial War, a five-one-shot line tied to the upcoming Cosmic Event series Imperial by Jonathan Hickman and others. The first two specials co-authored by Hickman will consist of Black Panther by Victor Laval and Cahuo, Black Panther by Stephanie Phillips and Emilio Lyso and Planet Che Hulk.

Wakanda’s intergalactic empire is on fire from all aspects of the Imperial War: Black Panther! T’Challa, who has condemned the assassination that launched an all-out Galactic War, needs to survive the brutal attacks from the world destroyers Hulk and Amadeus Cho before he can even think about hunting the real culprit! And while his spaceship is spiraling towards a certain destiny! Sounds like another day at Black Panther’s office!

The brutal war of succession in the Imperial War is the planet She Hulk! Jen Walters is left in New Sakaar to maintain peace, and in this savage realm, discovers that what is needed is not a litigator, but a liquidator! Luckily she is achieved by being both!

Laval said, “I’m working with Jonathan Hickman in an interstellar epic – are you excited by the idea? I’m excited to start working on Wakanda’s Galactic Empire. The comic was when the author first wrote the story of the Black Panther.

Similarly, Planet Shehark marks Phillips’ writings for Jennifer Walters. “She Hulk’s voice came to me naturally from the first line,” she says. “She’s so keen, funny and confident. It’s incredible to see what this talented creator lineup is building together, bringing her story back to life as part of Imperial.”

Imperial War: Black Panther will be released on August 20th, with the planet Shehark arriving the following week. They each mark the first cartoons of each character since the end of Eeve Ewing & Christopher Allen’s Black Panther Run in March 2024, and mark the sensational her hulk of Rainbow Lowell & Andre’s Genoret in August last year. The main four-part Imperial series, consisting of Hickman, Ivan Coero and Federico Vicentini, will begin on June 4th in the meantime.
