Doctor Doom 2099 will return in July this year with a special one-shot

Between the casting of Robert Downy Jr. and the current storyline “One World of Doom Under Doom Under Doom” on the Marvel page, it’s safe to say that everyone’s favorite Ratvarian ruler is spending a bit of time. Naturally, if someone challenges destiny, it must be destiny in itself. Today, Marvel announced its 2099 revival from the reality of alternative futures in a special 2099 one-shot in 2099, when author Frank Thierry and artist Delio Diaz made their Marvel comic debut.

Here’s how Marvel describes one shot:

The fate of 2099 will innovate Doctor Doom’s de Doom into the present, bringing a mysterious difference to the way he stands up to his classic counterpart. Doom 2099’s Journey sends shockwaves through The Time Stream, bringing together an eclectic group of future heroes to ignite a rebellious conflict to prevent Marvel’s biggest villain from gaining more power!

The world is destiny… but does it include a world that is not yet? A coalition from the future, including the old men Logan, Rachel Summers and Phoenix. Bishop, Cosmic Ghost Rider, Maestro and Deathrock say they are not. But will the arrival of Doom 2099 change the odds of the new magician? Is he there to support his past self…or will he destroy him forever?

In the official press release, author Frank Thierry shared what readers can expect.

“Look, I’m not two of the greatest villains ever when Marvel approaches me to take part in this event, as Marvel is widely known throughout my career as the ‘villain man’. Do you think his mission is far more intrusive than that?

In addition to the Derrick Chew main cover, a one-shot Feaures variant cover by Dan Panosian and Ken Lashley.

We will arrive at the manga store on July 23rd, 2099.
